Can you book transportation directly between hotels in Cancun and the Riviera Maya?
Yes. OMY Transfers provides private transportation between hotels, resorts and Airbnbs in Cancun, Costa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Akumal and Tulum. This type of transfer is especially useful for travelers splitting their vacation between two different resorts or destinations.
What is a split stay?
A split stay means dividing one vacation between two different accommodations — for example, a few nights at a resort in Cancun or Costa Mujeres, followed by more nights in Playa del Carmen, Akumal or Tulum. It lets travelers experience two areas during the same trip.
How does a hotel-to-hotel transfer work?
A private vehicle picks you up at the entrance or lobby of your first accommodation at the time you choose and drives you directly to the entrance of the second one. The vehicle is reserved for your group only. Book at least 48 hours in advance for 1–7 passengers, or at least 72 hours for groups of 8–16.
What happens with my luggage?
Your luggage travels with you, in the same private vehicle, during the same trip. There is no separate luggage handling or storage stage between hotels.
Can you pick me up from or take me to an Airbnb?
Yes. Transfers operate between hotels, resorts and Airbnbs in the service areas, as long as the route has an established rate.
Can families and groups travel together?
Yes. We offer private transfers for 1–7 passengers and for groups of 8–16 passengers on routes where group pricing is available. Bookings for 8–16 passengers require at least 72 hours' notice.
Which areas can I travel between?
Service areas include Cancun, Costa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Akumal and Tulum. Not every combination has an established rate: the booking form only shows the routes you can actually book.
How much does a hotel-to-hotel transfer cost?
Pricing is per private vehicle, per trip, in USD, with taxes included — not per person. Rates start from $60 USD per vehicle and depend on the route. The table below shows example prices for popular routes.
